Leftoff

Leftoff

WTF was I working on?

Leftoff keeps track of every Claude Code session you have open. When one goes quiet, it writes down where you left off, so ten tabs later you still know what each one was doing.

Free and local. Your sessions never leave your machine.

The Leftoff board: a Needs you strip at the top, then a card per Claude Code session with what it was doing, where it stopped and what's next. The Leftoff board: a Needs you strip at the top, then a card per Claude Code session with what it was doing, where it stopped and what's next.
Checkpoints

Goes quiet? It writes down where you were.

When a session sits idle, Leftoff writes a short checkpoint: what it was Doing, where it Stopped, and what's Next. Every checkpoint also keeps the command to resume that exact session.

Want one right now? Type /cp in the session.

Needs you

Claude is waiting on you. Now you know which one.

When a session stops for a permission prompt or a question, it jumps to the top of the board. Answer right there: Allow once, Allow for this session, or Deny with a note. Or hit Go and land in the right terminal tab.

Nothing is ever auto-allowed, and the terminal still works as usual. Answering from the board is off for other devices unless you turn it on.

On your phone

Check on everything from the couch.

One command puts the board on your phone over Tailscale. It stays on your own private network and is never exposed to the public internet.

Daily digest

A morning note from yesterday's you.

Every morning Leftoff builds a digest of where everything stands, across every repo. Read it with your coffee and pick up where you left off.

The Leftoff daily digest, listing where each session stopped and what's next, grouped by repo.
Local-first

Your sessions stay as Markdown on your machine.

No database, no account, no cloud. Every session and checkpoint is a plain file in a folder you can read, grep, sync or commit. A small background service on your own machine serves the board, and it rebuilds everything from those files when it starts, so a restart loses nothing.

Checkpoints can come from Claude in the session itself (no key needed), or a local model through Ollama.
